Kids Style: Three Tips + Favorites Under $30

Can we talk about the fact that Hudson took every single one of these photos. In portrait mode no less? I’m not going to lie, he makes a great little photographer and I should probably consider paying him for his help one of these days…

Three Tips For Styling Kids

Visibility and inventory: Knowing what your kids have, making sure it still fits, and checking to see if it’s in good condition is a great place to start. Before I purchase anything new, I clean out their drawers and closets while taking inventory of what they may need. I swear by these Ikea drawer organizer to keep undies and socks neatly corralled, and try to hang as much as possible, because visibility is key.

Keep it simple: Kids play hard and grow fast. Choosing a few basics, some quality denim, and a handful of stand out items like this cute jacket will help your kids look stylish and feel comfortable until they’re on to the next size.

Get Inspired: Find a few creative mama’s to follow on IG or Pinterest, and take cues on how they style their babes. Draw from the inspiration, but aways put your own spin on it.

Not sure where to start? Three of my best mama/style blogger gf’s are sharing their favorites today too! Be sure to head over to to see how Bonnie styles her boho babe Charlie.
