Why does it feel like we are the only family left on earth still in school? Yes there is still a ton of June gloom, but I’m just ready. We have a solid week and a half left too, which is kind of feeling like forever! It’s not helping that our Vegas vacation is scheduled for just a few days after we get out. The excitement and anticipation is killing me!

Speaking of summer, I can’t wait to go back to this new splash pad our city put in! I love local/free activities the kids and I can do on our days off. TBH, Everleigh was slightly terrified by all of the dumping + splashing, but the big kids loved it! This is also happens to be the scene of the crime from they day my phone broke by falling in a giant puddle of water…so we definitely need a do-over.

What are some of your favorite free/inexpensive kid friendly activities for summer? I’m looking forward to beach days, a few visits to the splash pad, and afternoon or two at the library, and lots of walking/strolling/scootering on the bike path. And then there’s always Disneyland! It’s in NO WAY free (or inexpensive) but we love it and plan to be there all summer long.
