Our elf Decks, as in: “DECK the halls…” introduced the kids to his girlfriend Holly this weekend! Holly, as in: “Deck the halls with boughs of HOLLY,” is a sweet new twist on one of my favorite Christmas traditions.
They don’t know it yet, but Decks and Holly will be leaving a fun surprise Christmas morning to help start a new tradition in the spirit of making more out of less. And since we are trying to focus on experiences over gifts this Christmas season, reading the Christmas story and spending time learning about the REAL reason we celebrate seemed like a good place to start.
I hope this inspires you to start a new tradition with your kids next Christmas, or to try something fun with the elf in your home this year.
Where did you get her?
A few of you were asking about links to some of the items in the photos I shared on my Instagram this weekend, so I’ve gathered as much as I could find and shared it with you below.
*Unfortunately the peppermint felt banner is sold out, but I’ve linked a similar option by the same shop!
NOTE: our “Falalalala” tree banner is old, but they have “Merry & Bright” this year!
Ps. the exact elf we got is sold out too, but I’ve found one just like her and linked it here:
